The Vickers Armstrongs Limited Edition Hand Assembled Alcock Escapade in Rose Blue men’s watch celebrates one of two men who piloted the world’s first non-stop transatlantic flight. In June 1919, John Alcock took flight alongside Arthur Brown in a modified Vickers Vimy, leaving from Newfoundland and arriving in Clifden in under 16 hours. Alcock and Brown were later presented with a prize of £10,000 to celebrate their accomplishment.
Precise and comprehensive chronograph movement powers the timepiece, operating the Minutes, Hours, and Seconds counters arranged on the navy blue dial to share similarities with the aeroplane cockpit. Surrounding this, the Tachymeter chapter ring measures speed based on time and distance travelled, allowing you to mimic Alcock's and Brown’s seminal adventure.
